LiveWire Cookie Notice
Cookie Notice As of May 1, 2025
USE OF COOKIES BY LiveWire
Because we value your privacy and want to be transparent in how we collect information about you, we are providing this notice to you to provide details on the cookies and other similar technologies we use when you visit our websites that link to this Cookie Notice (the “Website”). This Cookie Notice explains what these technologies are, why we use them, how you can oppose their use and how this will impact your browsing experience. For additional information on our privacy practices, please see our Privacy Policy.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are sent to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are useful because they allow websites to recognize a user’s device. Cookies can be used to track user activity and store information such as preferences, registration, or login credentials, all of which can provide you with a more personalized experience.
The term “cookie” is used in this Cookie Notice in the broad sense to include all similar techniques and technologies, including web beacons, server logs and pixels. For more information, see our “Glossary” section below.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
Our Website makes use of first-party and third-party cookies. Some cookies are necessary for technical reasons for our Website to operate and/or provide basic functionality and other cookies enable us to track and enhance the experience on our Website. Third parties also serve cookies through our Website for advertising, analytics, and other purposes.
The specific types of first- and third-party cookies served through our Website and the purposes they perform are described in more detail below.
First-party Cookies
These cookies are created by LiveWire. They are, for the most part, used to allow you to browse our Website and use its features. They also assist in analytics.
Third-party Cookies
In addition to first-party cookies, some third-party companies may place cookies on your device. These cookies enable third-party features or functionalities to be provided on or thorough the Website. We also use third party applications and platforms for different services that support our website and provide a better user experience for you. Cookies stemming from these applications assist us in understanding the user experience on our Website, including how you interact with the website, and allow us to optimize your user experience more accurately and efficiently. These cookies can collect data such as your IP address, device information, browser information, location, and information related to how you interact with our website (how long you stay on a page or what links you interact with). For example, we utilize a third party for session replay purposes.
The types of first and third-party cookies we use on the Website are:
- Strictly necessary cookies — Also known as “essential cookies,” these cookies are essential for you to browse the Website and use its features. Without these cookies we cannot hold items in your shopping cart while shopping on the Website or use certain features to access secure areas of the Website.
- Preferences cookies — Also known as “functionality cookies” or “personalization cookies,” these cookies allow our Website to remember choices you have made in the past, like what language you prefer, what region Website you would like to see when you return, or what your user name and password are so you can automatically log in.
- Statistics cookies — Also known as “performance cookies” or “analytics cookies,” these cookies collect information about how you use a website, like which pages you visited and which links you clicked on. None of this information can be used to identify you. It is all aggregated and, therefore, anonymized. Their sole purpose is to improve website functions. This includes cookies from third-party analytics services as long as the cookies are for the exclusive use of the owner of the website visited.
- Marketing cookies — Also known as “targeted advertising cookies,” these cookies track your online activity to help tailor more relevant advertising or to limit how many times you see an ad. This information may be used by LiveWire and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interest in our Services and other websites, and better understand your online activity. For more information on our marketing practices, please see the section titled “Personalized and interest-based advertising” in our Privacy Policy.
To manage these various types of cookies, please follow the instructions below under the section “HOW TO DISABLE OR ENABLE COOKIES.”
DURATION OF STORAGE OF COOKIES ON YOUR DEVICE
The duration of storage of cookies on your device may vary, depending on the category to which they belong: temporary (also called “session”) or permanent (also called “persistent”). We may use temporary and/or permanent cookies on all our secure pages for certain functionality, such as to assign and register a session ID. This allows you to browse our entire Website without interruption. This identifier is also used for internal reporting purposes. Our third-party cookies may be permanent cookies. They allow us to understand visitors’ browsing behavior over a longer period of time or to provide you with additional features related to your Website customization requests and the content that you have saved or stored. They can stay on your computer for 24 hours, a week or longer, depending on their function. This means that these cookies survive after your browser is closed and can be used by our Website to recognize your computer when you reopen your browser later.
HOW TO DISABLE OR ENABLE COOKIES?
You can accept or decline cookies by modifying the settings in your browser. Most web browsers allow you to control the cookies saved on your computer. You can find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them on www.allaboutcookies.org. Please note that, depending on your location when you access our Website, you may also have the option to adjust what cookies you allow us to place on your browser through our Cookies Preference Center.
As the means by which to activate or deactivate cookies varies from one web browser to another, you should visit your web browser’s help menu for more information on cookie preferences. You can also configure your browser at any time to be notified of the receipt of a cookie, so that you can decide whether you want to accept it or not. You can delete cookies from your computer at any time. Please note that you must adjust your settings on each browser/device that you currently use and each time you use a new browser or device. To delete, change or manage your cookie settings, we have provided a selection of some of the most popular browsers below to learn more:
CONSEQUENCES OF DEACTIVATION OF COOKIES
You can generally opt out of receiving interest-based advertisements from third party advertisers and ad networks who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) or who follow the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising by visiting the opt out pages on the NAI website and DAA website. These third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can also opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the NAI on its website. You can learn more about interest-based advertisements and your opt out rights and options on the NAI website and DAA website.
If you choose to deactivate cookies, you may continue to use certain parts of our Website. However, some useful features may not work anymore, depending on which cookies you deactivate. For example, the Website and its content may not be as relevant to your preferences.
Please note that if you have disabled one or more cookies, we may continue to use the information that was collected by such cookies before they were deactivated in accordance with applicable law. However, we will cease to collect any information via the opted-out cookie once a cookie has been deactivated.
SOCIAL MEDIA COOKIES
In addition, our Website may allow you to "share" content with friends through social networks. These social networks may set a cookie when you are logged in to their service and use the share functionality on our Website. LiveWire does not control these cookies. Please check the social networks Website for more information about their cookies and how they use them.

GLOSSARY
A Pixel is a type of technology placed on a website for the purpose of tracking certain activity, such as views of a website. Pixels are often used in combination with cookies.
Server Logs. Like most websites, our servers automatically record the page requests made when you visit our Website. These “server logs” typically include your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
Session Replay provides the ability to replay a visitor's journey on a website or within a mobile application or web application. Replay can include the user's view (browser or screen output), user input (keyboard and mouse inputs), and logs of network events or console logs. Session replay is used to help improve customer experience, analyze usability and help identify obstacles in conversion processes on websites. It can also be used to study a website's usability, customer behavior, interests, and the handling of customer service questions as the customer journey, with all interactions, can be replayed. It can also be used to analyze fraudulent behavior on websites.
A Web Beacon is an electronic image usually composed of a single pixel. It can be placed on a web page or in an email to transmit information, including the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page in question, the URL of the page, the time of consultation of the page and the type of browser used, as well as the data contained in the cookies sent by a third party.
